Is the Telegram bot free?
Yes. Random matching and text chat through the Telegram bot are free. You get the same free tier as the web version — 10 matches per day as a guest. Registering or linking your account unlocks unlimited matching.
Do I need a ThXChat account to use the bot?
No. When you first message @ThXChatBot, an account is automatically created for you. You can optionally link an existing ThXChat web account for a unified experience.
Can I chat with people who are on the web version?
Yes. Messages are bridged between Telegram and the ThXChat web app in real time. Your match could be typing on the website while you chat from Telegram — the experience is seamless.
What message types are supported?
Currently, text messages are fully bridged between Telegram and ThXChat. Images and other media types are not yet supported in the bridge, but are planned for a future update.
How do I link my existing ThXChat account?
Go to Settings in the ThXChat web app, find Telegram Binding, and click "Generate Bind Code." This creates a deep link that opens the bot and links your accounts automatically.
Can I receive AI companion reminders on Telegram?
Yes. Once your Telegram account is linked, Echo (the AI companion) can send you reminder notifications directly in Telegram. Set reminders through the web app and get notified on your phone.
