1. Information We Collect

ThXChat offers the following sign in methods:

Anonymous Guest Sign in: Users can use ThXChat without providing any personal information.
Registered Account Sign in: Users can choose to register an account by providing a username, password, and optional email address to keep personalized data or services from being lost.
Third-party Account Sign in: Users can sign in using supported third-party platforms by providing necessary information provided by these platforms.

In addition, we may collect the following information:

IP address
Device information (such as device type, operating system)
Browser type and version
Chat messages and content you send through the Service
Usage logs (including access time, browsed pages, etc.)

2. How We Use Information

If you use registered account or third-party account login, ThXChat will use this information to provide personalized services to enhance your user experience. Additionally, we will use this information to:

Provide user support and troubleshooting
Conduct data analysis and research to improve our services
Monitor and analyze usage trends, evaluate and improve service quality
Perform automated content moderation to detect policy violations and ensure platform safety (see Section 8)

3. Data Security

We take various measures to protect the security of your data, including but not limited to:

Data encryption: All data in transit is encrypted.
Access control: Only authorized employees can access your data, and only to the minimum extent necessary to provide you with services.
Security audits: Regular security audits and vulnerability scans to ensure system security.
Emergency response: We have a comprehensive emergency response plan to promptly address potential data leaks.

4. Data Sharing

Except for user-selected third-party account login, ThXChat will not sell your personal data. We may share data with the following third-party service providers that are necessary to operate our Service, all of which must comply with strict data protection standards:

AI Content Moderation: Chat messages are processed by third-party AI services for automated safety review. Message content is sent solely for violation detection and is not used for model training.
Payment Processing: Third-party payment processors handle your payment information. We do not store full credit card or payment details on our servers.
Infrastructure & Security: Cloudflare (CDN, DDoS protection) may process traffic data as part of its standard operation.
Optional analytics: If you allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 processes pseudonymous browser identifiers, device and browser information, approximate location, referring sites, and usage events to help us understand visits and steps such as entering the app, starting a chat, viewing products, entering checkout, and confirming purchases. Purchase events include the product code, price, currency, and a randomly generated analytics transaction identifier. These identifiers are not the same as fully anonymous data. We do not send chat content, account details, login tokens, original order numbers, payment signatures or checkout links, or private invitation links to Google Analytics. Our analytics integration does not enable advertising personalization or Google signals. Google may process analytics data outside your country. See Google's Privacy Policy.

5. User Rights

You have the following rights to your data:

Access: You can access your personal data at any time.
Modify: You can modify your personal information.
Delete: You can request deletion of your personal data, except where retention is required for safety, security, or legal compliance (see Section 8.3).

6. Data Retention

Except for optional analytics, ThXChat will retain your personal data indefinitely unless you request deletion. In some cases (such as legal requirements), we may retain your data for a longer period.

Our Google Analytics resource has a two-month retention setting for event-level data and a 14-month setting for user-level data, which resets with new activity. These settings do not limit most standard aggregated reports. The browser cookie lifetimes are described in Section 7.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

ThXChat uses localStorage for necessary application data, including login tokens and settings. We also use a preference cookie to remember whether you allow or reject analytics for up to 180 days. This preference is shared between www.thxchat.com and thxchat.com in the same browser.

Google Analytics is optional and is loaded only after you allow analytics. If you do not choose or you reject analytics, our integration does not load Google Analytics or send analytics events to Google. Rejecting analytics does not affect guest access, account sign in, matching, or chatting.

If you allow analytics, first-party Google Analytics cookies identify your browser and visits for up to 180 days. We also use a short-lived analytics cookie, lasting up to 30 minutes, to associate the website entry page with arrival in the app and avoid counting sign-in redirects twice. This cookie contains only a known page path, an expiry time and progress flags; it does not contain your account ID or chat content. After consent, optional app localStorage associates an internal order number with a random analytics transaction identifier and progress flags and the version of your analytics choice (time and a random value). These records are valid for up to 180 days (at most 100 recent orders); expired records are removed when next accessed, to avoid counting repeated purchase confirmations. The internal order number remains in your browser and is not sent to Google Analytics. Website and app events are measured together in the same Google Analytics resource.

You can change or withdraw your choice through Privacy preferences in the website footer, the app Settings, or the access page. Withdrawal stops future collection by our integration and removes its analytics cookies, entry metadata, and optional purchase analytics records in the open app. Other open tabs apply the shared choice when they next check it; records are also cleared when the app next opens without analytics consent. Withdrawal does not delete previously collected data or sign you out. You can contact us about data rights using the address below. The optional analytics described here is separate from necessary security, authentication and infrastructure processing.

8. Age Requirement and Safety

ThXChat is strictly for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

8.1 Age Verification

All users must provide their true date of birth when registering, linking a Telegram account, or updating their profile. This information is used solely to verify age eligibility and is not used for marketing. Accounts with a declared age under 18 are permanently disabled and cannot be restored.

8.2 AI-Powered Chat Safety Monitoring

We use automated AI content moderation to monitor chat messages for safety purposes, including detecting users who self-disclose as under 18 during conversations. When our systems identify a user claiming to be underage, the account is permanently disabled.

8.3 Data Retention for Safety & Legal Compliance

When an account is permanently disabled for age-related or child safety violations, we retain certain account and conversation data. This retention is necessary to prevent re-registration, preserve evidence for potential law enforcement investigations, and comply with our legal obligations.
