See your match before you say hello
After a random match, review the other person's age, gender, and region. Choose Say Hello when you decide to enter the conversation.
Profile age is calculated from the date of birth entered by the user. It is not independent identity or age verification.
What happened to Omegle?
Omegle shut down in November 2023 after 14 years. Its founder cited the emotional and financial burden of moderating a platform that was frequently misused — despite ongoing efforts to improve safety.
After a random match, ThXChat shows your match's age, gender, and region. You can review these details before deciding whether to enter the conversation.
Once you enter the chat, a short minimum stay gives both people time to begin talking. This chat commitment timer is designed to reduce instant exits and give the conversation a chance to get started.
Looking for an Omegle copy?
Since Omegle closed, many sites have copied its name or layout. None of them is the original Omegle, so it is worth checking who runs a site before you start chatting.
ThXChat is not an Omegle copy. It keeps the familiar part, random one-on-one chat you can start as a guest, and changes the rest: you preview each match before entering a chat, conversations start with text, and messages can be translated across 23 languages.
Before trying any Omegle-style site, check that:
- It says who runs the site and links to its terms and privacy policy.
- It requires users to be 18 or older and explains how reports are handled.
- It has in-chat report and block tools.
- It does not ask for payment, a download, or contact details such as your phone number before you can try it.
ThXChat is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Omegle.
